About StarTropics

StarTropics is an action title incorporating some role playing elements, viewed from an overhead perspective. The player controls Michael Jones, who travels to C Island to visit his archaeologist uncle, Dr. Jones.

Upon arrival, Mike discovers from a local figure named Chief Coralcola that his uncle has been kidnapped. The core objective becomes exploring the island to find Dr. Jones and uncover the reason for his abduction.

Gameplay involves navigating the environment, interacting with villagers for information, and confronting various hostile creatures. Progression is supported by discovering new weapons and items beyond the initial yo yo. The game utilizes a battery backup system for saving progress.
