About Starship Hector

Hector 87: Starship Hector is a science fiction shooter where the player pilots a starfighter on a mission across an alien planet. The core objective involves eliminating all hostile forces encountered.

Gameplay is distinguished by its shifting perspectives, moving between top-down and side-scrolling stages. The player's craft is armed with two weapon systems: a primary laser and a separate ground attack, requiring coordinated use to engage both airborne and terrestrial targets.

A shield meter indicates damage sustained, and this protection can be restored by defeating specific enemies. The experience is challenging, as progression relies solely on managing these weapons and the ship's integrity against successive waves of foes.
