Stargate

Defender II is a sequel where players control a ship to rescue humanoids from alien threats. The primary objective involves preventing Landers from capturing these humanoids and transforming them into Mutants.

A central new feature is the Stargate, which serves as a safe delivery point for rescued humanoids. This gate also functions as a warp device, transporting the player to the nearest endangered humanoid. Strategic use of the warp is possible by entering with multiple humanoids, offering progression or extra life rewards and creating a challenging risk-reward dynamic.

Enemy presence is increased compared to the original, requiring constant evasion and combat. An Inviso button provides temporary concealment from foes, but also hides the player's own ship, necessitating navigation by tracking the trajectory of fired projectiles.
