About Somari the Adventurer

Somari the Adventurer is an NES adaptation of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, featuring a protagonist who resembles Mario. The core objective involves collecting rings while navigating levels.

While the overall stage progression mirrors the original Sonic game, one zone was omitted due to being incomplete. The layout of these levels, however, frequently deviates from the source material. Enemies and items remain consistent with the Sonic series.

Mechanically, the character retains the spin dash maneuver introduced in a later Sonic title. A distinct rule applies when the player is hit: only three rings are lost, regardless of the total collected. The soundtrack is adapted with some changes in speed but aims to replicate the original compositions.
