About Metroid

Metroid is set in a future conflict between the Galactic Federation and the Space Pirates of planet Zebes. The pirates have obtained a dangerous life-form called a Metroid, which was responsible for the destruction of its home planet SR388. Should it be unleashed, this entity threatens numerous star systems.

The player controls the bounty hunter Samus Aran, who must infiltrate Zebes to eliminate this threat. Her mission requires navigating hazardous environments like Brinstar and Norfair, defeating the pirate forces and their leaders, Ridley and Kraid. The ultimate objective is to stop the pirates' destructive plans by destroying the Metroid.

Samus utilizes a powered suit that provides various offensive and defensive capabilities. This includes the ability to assimilate certain powers from defeated enemies to enhance her survivability. Progress involves using these tools to locate and penetrate the central Tourian chamber, where the controlling Mother Brain must be confronted and destroyed.
