About Kart Fighter

Kart Fighter is an unlicensed NES title that functions as a fighting game using characters from the Mario Kart series. Its core mechanics are directly adapted from another established fighting game, replicating its move sets and combo system.

The roster consists of eight fighters, including Mario, Luigi, and Bowser as the final opponent who must be faced twice. Most characters share a similar fighting style, with only a few like Princess Peach and Donkey Kong Jr. exhibiting distinct projectile attacks.

Visual and audio assets were created specifically for this project, though some graphical elements were repurposed from other games, including other Mario titles. A two player versus mode is available despite some assumptions to the contrary, activated during the character selection screen.
