Jeopardy! Sports Edition

1999 is a sports focused adaptation of the Jeopardy! quiz format for the NES. Its content is drawn from a large database of questions and categories, all centered on athletic topics like baseball, football, and hockey, with further specificity on players and equipment.

The presentation replicates a television studio environment using digitized photography, including contestants dressed in various sports uniforms and the recognizable presence of host Alex Trebek, who provides voice work. Gameplay proceeds through three rounds where participants use the controller to buzz in and input their spelled responses.
