About Gradius
Gradius is a side scrolling shooter where the player controls a spacecraft. The objective is to defend the planet Gradius from an invasion by the Bacterion forces.
Progression involves navigating through levels filled with hostile enemies, culminating in a confrontation with a large boss. Defeating specific foes releases power up pods that enhance the ship's capabilities.
These enhancements include options like lasers, missiles, increased speed, and defensive force fields. The game supports a single player or two players taking alternating turns.
