Uncle Fester's Quest: The Addams Family

This top-down shooter demands precise aim and pattern recognition to survive its challenging alien invasion.

Fester's Quest was released for the NES in North America in 1989 by Sunsoft; it was the original game's first commercial release on any platform.

About Fester’s Quest

Fester's Quest is an overhead-view action game where players control Uncle Fester from the 1960s television version of The Addams Family. The premise involves an alien invasion that begins with a UFO landing on the family's property, prompting Fester to intervene.

Gameplay revolves around combat using a starting gun that can later be replaced by a whip, targeting enemies at close range. Defeated foes leave behind currency and various power-ups. Collected money has a practical function, as it can be spent at Hot Dog stands to restore health. Other members of the Addams Family appear throughout the adventure to provide assistance.

The objective is to confront and defeat the alien boss creatures responsible for the invasion. The game incorporates a range of collectible items, each producing a distinct effect during play.
