About Dragon Warrior III

Dragon Warrior III is a role-playing game where a party of adventurers grows stronger by defeating monsters to gain experience and level up. While the player initially controls a single hero, three additional members can be recruited to form a full group. These characters belong to distinct professions, including soldier, fighter, merchant, goof-off, pilgrim, and wizard.

A notable feature is the job system, which allows for significant character customization. After reaching level 20 in an initial class, a character can change to a different one, including the exclusive sage class. This reset comes with a cost, as the character loses all accumulated experience and half of their statistical attributes. However, they retain any abilities learned from their previous profession, enabling the creation of versatile hybrids capable of both spellcasting and physical combat.

The game world operates on a day and night cycle that progresses as the party travels. This cycle affects gameplay, with many shops being inaccessible during nighttime hours. Party composition is flexible, as characters can be dismissed and replaced with new recruits at any point.
