About Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone

Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone concludes the series with brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee embarking on a new mission. Their journey begins after an encounter with a fortune teller who warns of a powerful threat in Egypt and mentions the potential aid of the Rosetta Stones.

The visual presentation shifts from a cartoonish style to more realistically proportioned character sprites. A new economic system is introduced, allowing players to spend currency at in-game shops. These purchases can provide various advantages, including enhanced offensive capabilities, special techniques, health restoration, and additional attempts.

Among the available upgrades are power-ups that significantly increase the characters' size, which in turn expands their attack range and the damage they inflict. This system integrates resource management into the side-scrolling combat, making the overall experience challenging as players must strategically acquire aids for their quest against a formidable Egyptian adversary.
