About Cosmic Spacehead

Linus Spacehead's Cosmic Crusade is a hybrid title for the NES that blends adventure exploration with side scrolling platform sequences. The player assists Linus, an alien who has returned home after crashing on Earth, but whose account of the planet is met with disbelief. The objective is to guide him back to Earth to gather photographic proof.

Progress involves navigating different lands, interacting with characters, and locating items. A point and click style interface, reminiscent of certain LucasArts adventures, is used to construct sentences and manipulate the environment. Accessing new areas often requires completing action oriented stages where players must traverse hazardous terrain and avoid enemies.

Once a platforming section is successfully finished, it does not need to be repeated upon returning to that location. The game allows players to generate a password to resume their progress later, offering a fair approach to continuation. The core loop alternates between conversational exploration and reflexive action challenges.
