About WWF War Zone

WWF War Zone for the Game Boy presents a distinct adaptation of its console counterparts, primarily through its 2D graphical presentation. This shift was a direct result of the handheld system's technical constraints.

The available match types encompass singles, tag team, cage matches, and a tournament structure called the WWF Challenge. A notable omission from this portable version is the create-a-wrestler feature found elsewhere. Furthermore, the roster is reduced, lacking several wrestlers present in other releases.

Gameplay is streamlined, with a universal move set applied to all characters. The primary mechanical distinction between wrestlers lies in their unique finishing maneuvers.
