Virtual Wars

The Lawnmower Man for Game Boy adapts the 1992 film, where a scientist's virtual reality experiments on a man lead to dangerous consequences. Players control either Dr. Angelo or Carla Parkette in a side scrolling platformer, navigating locations from the movie like a gas station and corporate headquarters.

Gameplay involves shooting and collecting items, including data discs that eventually allow a transformation into a protective Virtual Suit. This action is interspersed with distinct 3D sequences that connect levels, directly inspired by the film's computer generated visuals. These segments vary in perspective and task, involving high speed navigation through obstacle filled virtual environments, with some requiring the player to shoot targets.
