Hurrican

Battle a three-headed demon across 13 levels in this side-scrolling shooter. Collect 10 weapons to defeat nightmares made real.

Turrican was originally released in 1990 for Amiga and other home computers. The Game Boy version was released in 1992 by Accolade in North America and by U.S. Gold in Europe.

About Turrican

Turrican is a side scrolling shoot-em up where the protagonist must confront a threat from the three-headed demon Morgul. This entity has made nightmares manifest in reality, creating the conflict for the game.

The action is fast paced and spans five distinct worlds, which contain a total of thirteen levels. While the basic controls involve jumping and shooting, a significant part of the experience revolves around locating and utilizing ten different collectible weapons.

This exploration and weapon management layer is central, making the overall gameplay challenging despite its simple conceptual foundation.
