Space Invaders

Space Invaders presents a scenario where Earth requires defense against descending alien forces. The player operates a laser cannon positioned at the screen's base, targeting rows of hostile units that move laterally above.

Success is achieved by eliminating all invaders, which advances the player to a subsequent, challenging stage. The game ends if any alien reaches the surface or if the player's limited supply of cannons is destroyed by enemy bombs. Intermittently, a flying saucer appears at the top, offering a bonus point opportunity.

Defensive shields are positioned near the cannon, providing cover from bombs but also obstructing the player's own fire. The aliens' movement pattern involves shifting side to side and descending a row each time they touch the screen's edge.
