About Smurfs 2
Smurfs 2 for the Game Boy is structured around a global journey across six continents, including Africa, Asia, and Australia. Each continent contains three distinct levels where the player, controlling either Smurf or Smurfette, must gather crystal shards. The total objective is to collect 21 of these shards to repair a broken magic crystal, an event which originally stranded the characters far from their home.
Gameplay involves navigating levels to find the required shards while also collecting other items for points. Players encounter region-specific obstacles and enemies, which must be avoided or defeated, and the tasks include actions like swimming and evading predators such as cougars. Progress in certain sections can be recorded and resumed using a password system.
The narrative context for this quest is an environmental theme, as the characters discover a polluted world during their travels and seek to clear rubbish. The software supports multiple language options, available in French, English, Spanish, and German.
