About Jantaku Boy

Jantaku Boy is a portable riichi mahjong title for the Game Boy. Its gameplay centers on hanchan matches against computer controlled opponents across several distinct modes.

Players can engage in a challenging single elimination tournament requiring four victories to advance through eight rounds. A standard single player session consists of six hanchan against three AI. The game supports multiplayer through a Game Link Cable for two human players, with AI filling the remaining seats.

A notable technical feature is its compatibility with the Game Boy Four Player Adapter, allowing up to four people to play together directly. Any unfilled positions at the table are automatically taken by AI. Customization of house rules is available through a dedicated options menu.
