About Dragon's Lair : The Legend

Dragon's Lair: The Legend on Game Boy adapts the structure of another title, featuring the knight Dirk the Daring. His objective is to gather every lifestone found throughout the environment to rescue Princess Daphne.

The world is composed of multiple screens that extend beyond the visible display, scrolling as Dirk walks and then transitioning when a boundary is reached. Movement involves navigating past obstacles such as bumper cars, magic hats, and various moving platforms, which can be crossed by jumping. The player begins with ten lives, and falling from heights or contacting hazards like spikes, water, or fire will deplete them.

Options include selecting between two gameplay speeds and a two-player alternating mode. The musical theme bears some similarity to the one used in the NES release.
