About Captain America and the Avengers

Captain America and the Avengers is a side-scrolling beat 'em up featuring four playable heroes from Marvel Comics: Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Vision. Their objective is to stop the Red Skull and his assembled team of super-villains from world conquest.

The adventure spans five distinct stages. While the core gameplay involves brawling through side-scrolling environments, several levels shift to a shooting format. These segments have the heroes confronting threats in aerial, underwater, and outer space settings.

A roster of villains opposes the heroes, including Living Laser, Klaw, Whirlwind, Grim Reaper, Wizard, Mandarin, Juggernaut, Ultron, Controller, Crossbones, and finally the Red Skull. Support comes from other Avengers; Quicksilver occasionally delivers energy pickups, and the Wasp provides defensive and offensive aid during the shooting sections.

The game supports cooperative play for up to four participants simultaneously.
