About Puzzle Master

Puzzle Master is a fantasy themed falling block puzzle game for the Game Boy Color. Its core mechanics involve arranging descending blocks that represent corrupted elements water, fire, wood, and rock. The primary objective is to form clusters of three or more identical elements to clear them, which simultaneously charges a Power Sword. A level is completed once this sword is fully powered.

Failure occurs if the stack of elements reaches the top of the screen. The challenge is increased by monsters that introduce indestructible skull blocks, rapidly filling the play area. To manage these threats and assist with puzzle solving, the player has a limited inventory of adventurer's tools. These include daggers to eliminate an entire column, bombs for targeted damage, hearts that act as wildcards, and potions that remove all blocks of a specific element. Keys are used to unlock chests or access new areas of the playing field.

Special interactive puzzles exist, such as using a water element on a flower to earn an additional tool. The game features over fifty levels distributed across five distinct realms, with the final realm locked until the player completes the first four and collects all ancient objects. Three gameplay modes are offered: a quest mode, a time challenge, and a training mode.
