About Goraku Ō Tango!

Goraku Ou Tango! is a word puzzle game for the Game Boy Color based on printed puzzles from the publisher Sekai Bunka. The core activity involves reconstructing words, which are presented in English or Japanese syllabaries, by rearranging tiles to form them in a different script.

This tile-matching mechanic has multiple gameplay variants. Progress is tied to a narrative following a family of archaeologists who discover Japanese writing in unlikely global locations, such as Sweden. Their search for a missing relative provides context for the puzzles, with each solved puzzle advancing the story and unlocking a new, more difficult one.
