F1 Racing Championship for the Game Boy Color is a licensed adaptation of the 1999 Formula One season. It includes the official drivers, cars, and circuits from that year.

Players can experience the season through two distinct modes. An arcade style offers a more straightforward race, while a simulation mode requires car adjustments before each event, adding a strategic layer. The races themselves can be viewed from a first person perspective inside the cockpit.
