About Driver

Driver for the Game Boy Color casts the player as an undercover police officer named Tanner. His assignment involves infiltrating a criminal organization by serving as their driver, requiring him to complete various illicit jobs to advance the investigation.

Gameplay involves a range of driving objectives central to the narrative. These tasks include evading law enforcement, intimidating civilians, and engaging in vehicular destruction. The player must also commandeer police vehicles and outmaneuver hostile forces.

Several different cars can be operated throughout the story missions. Additional modes beyond the main campaign are present, such as Checkpoint and Survival. A notable difference from other editions is the top-down perspective and the absence of a San Francisco setting.
