About Carl Lewis Athletics 2000

Carl Lewis Athletics 2000 is a Game Boy Color sports title centered on the decathlon. Players manage a custom athlete whose performance can be developed through training, with the profile saved directly to the cartridge.

Gameplay involves rhythmic button inputs and timed action commands across the ten standard events. Beyond a full championship, an arcade mode presents a challenging structure where advancing requires meeting specific performance targets. Multiplayer is supported for two players simultaneously, and certain events allow turn-based play with a single game pak.

Victory in the main decathlon unlocks a special mode featuring three extra track events. The cartridge's infrared port enables data exchange, allowing competitors to race against a recorded ghost of their own best performance.
