About Action Man: Search for Base X

Action Man: Search for Base X is a side-scrolling platformer for the Game Boy Color. The player directs the protagonist, Alex Mann, on a mission to prevent the villainous Dr. X from deploying a catastrophic weapon.

This objective involves navigating seven distinct environments, from jungles to arctic regions, while confronting robotic forces. Progression is based on moving through stages, eliminating enemies, and avoiding environmental hazards.

Gameplay is supported by an equipment system where more potent firearms, a bow and arrow, and specialized battle suits can be acquired. These items are often discovered by exploring alternate routes within the levels.
