About Power Rangers : Time Force
Power Rangers: Time Force is a Game Boy Color platformer that adapts the 2001 television series. Its premise casts the heroes as law enforcement officers from the 30th century who pursue fugitives across various historical eras.
Players navigate eight stages, which include settings like a prehistoric jungle, contemporary cities, and a futuristic underwater facility. The sequence for tackling some of these levels can be chosen by the player. At the outset of a stage, one of five Rangers is selected, each with unique ratings in attributes such as vitality and speed. The core objective is to locate and defeat a criminal boss before a timer expires, while contending with enemy creatures and environmental hazards along the way.
Combat offers a choice between basic fisticuffs, a staff, or a gun. The latter two weapons consume energy that regenerates slowly or can be replenished instantly with specific items. Other collectibles restore health, reduce the time limit, or activate a system to switch the active Ranger during a level.
After the second level, boss encounters become a two-phase challenge. Once the initial fight is won, a separate battle commences using a Megazord, available in Red or Blue configurations. These segments shift the gameplay to a style reminiscent of a one-on-one fighting game.
