Penny Racers is a racing game where players can acquire unusual vehicle upgrades. The experience involves standard racing maneuvers alongside more specialized actions like drifting and performing spins.

Competition takes place across a selection of environments, which range from conventional street and off-road circuits to aquatic tracks. For races on water, vehicles are modified with pontoons, enabling them to operate underwater.
