About Mummy, The

The Mummy for Game Boy Advance is a 2D action-adventure title using a top-down perspective. Its narrative follows the O'Connell family's investigation of disturbances at an Egyptian dig site, where they ally with Ardeth Bay against the suspected return of Imhotep.

Gameplay involves exploring underground ruins, combating hostile creatures such as scorpions and undead, and solving environmental puzzles like finding keys for locked doors. A central mechanic is the ability to switch freely between the three family members, each possessing unique skills: Rick offers physical strength, Evy can decipher hieroglyphs, and Alex handles lock picking.

Progression is supported by a resource system where collected coins can be spent at Ankh symbols on the ground to revive incapacitated party members. A separate, fully 3D version of the game was released for PlayStation 2 and Windows platforms.
