About Metal Slug Advance

Metal Slug Advance is a side scrolling action game where the player controls one of two available characters. The setting involves a conflict where allied forces have been taken prisoner, requiring a solo rescue mission.

Gameplay revolves around traversing levels and engaging numerous enemies using an arsenal of guns, explosives, and specialized vehicles known as Slugs. The experience includes confrontations with unusual opponents and large scale battles.

A distinct system involves collecting E cards from rescued allies. These items, when returned to a camp, provide permanent upgrades such as increased ammunition and enhanced firepower, allowing for modifications to the core mechanics.
