About Madagascar

Madagascar for Nintendo DS adapts the film's narrative, allowing control of four central animal characters: Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo, and Melman the giraffe. The adventure moves from New York's Central Park Zoo to the island of Madagascar, following the movie's story beats.

Progress is built around utilizing each character's unique skills, requiring players to switch between them to overcome obstacles. This character swapping, along with combat and certain movements, is managed through the DS touch screen. Exploration is encouraged to locate hidden collectibles, with some items becoming accessible only after specific abilities are obtained later.
