About Ice Nine

Ice Nine is a first person shooter for the Game Boy Advance where the player is a CIA recruit. The core gameplay involves navigating levels to eliminate enemies and complete objectives, with a pace that is fair due to automatic door openings and a focus on action.

Its visual presentation uses a 3D engine for environments, allowing for variable heights and interactive elements like elevators, while characters are rendered as sprites. The player's arsenal ranges from standard firearms to a zoom capable sniper rifle and a rocket launcher.

The narrative begins with training exercises but shifts when the agent must investigate a potential mole within the agency. This mission involves locating a dangerous computer virus, sometimes requiring stealth such as avoiding security cameras or using night vision. Level destruction is possible, and certain locations appear multiple times across the eighteen missions.
