About Gauntlet : Dark Legacy

Gauntlet: Dark Legacy for the Game Boy Advance presents a simplified take on the dungeon crawling formula. The objective is to navigate large, isometric maze levels across five distinct realms, defeating monsters and the generators that create them to find the exit.

Character choice involves four archetypes, each with a unique weapon and different base statistics for strength, speed, armor, and magic. Progression is structured around a central hub that leads to these realms, which must all be cleared to access the final confrontation.

Core mechanics include collecting keys for doors, food for health, and temporary power-ups that enhance attacks or defense. While coins are collected, they serve no in-game economic function. Experience is gained from defeated enemies, leading to automatic attribute improvements upon leveling up, and progress can be saved at the hub.
