About ESPN International Winter Sports 2002
ESPN International Winter Sports 2002 is a Game Boy Advance title featuring ten distinct winter sports events. These include various skiing disciplines, snowboarding competitions, skating events, and the biathlon and luge.
Gameplay involves different control schemes depending on the event. Some require rapid button presses for speed, while others demand precise timing and sequence for executing tricks or navigating courses. The figure skating segment is noted for its similarity to rhythm-based games like Dance Dance Revolution.
Players can engage with individual event trials, a full competition across all ten events, or an excite mode. The objective is to earn medals by achieving first-place finishes, with an additional layer of challenging replayability coming from attempting to surpass one's own records.
