About Double Dragon Advance

Double Dragon Advance is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up where players control martial artists Jimmy and Billy Lee. Their objective is to fight through waves of enemies across various locations to rescue a kidnapped woman.

The gameplay involves using fists and improvised weapons like bats and chains against numerous opponents. It includes new combat techniques such as a dash punch and a wall jump, expanding the move set from earlier versions. Players progress through distinct areas including a construction site and a swamp, each concluding with a unique boss encounter.

Several modes are available, such as a single-player campaign, a two-player cooperative option, and a dedicated versus mode. A separate survival challenge, called the Double Dragon Dojo, tests a player's endurance on a single life. The narrative context involves a post-apocalyptic setting with roaming gangs, though the primary focus remains on combat.

This portable release features enhanced graphics and additional stages not found in the original arcade and NES titles. The core experience remains centered on direct, confrontational action against successive groups of enemies.
