About Butt-Ugly Martians : B.K.M. Battles

Butt-Ugly Martians: B.K.M. Battles is a side-scrolling shoot'em up for the Game Boy Advance, adapting its cartoon source material. The core conflict involves the three titular Martians, now in powered assault suits, defending Earth from an alien army sent by Emperor Bog.

Players select one of three characters, each with a distinct balance of offensive, defensive, and movement capabilities. Progression involves navigating 28 stages across seven worlds, defeating enemies, and locating keys to advance through space caverns toward boss encounters. Collectible enhancements modify character abilities, offering upgrades to firepower, defense, speed, or temporary protection.

An additional gameplay element involves the recurring antagonist Stoat Muldoon, who can be neutralized by finding and using a specific memory-erasing item. The title offers three selectable difficulty settings and uses a password system to record progress. Furthermore, connecting the cartridge to the GameCube game Butt Ugly Martians: Zoom or Doom unlocks special content, a feature tied to collecting five colored gems during play.
