Best Friends : Hunde & Katzen

Best Friends: Hunde & Katzen is a pet care simulation for the Game Boy Advance. The player's role is to maintain the well-being of a puppy or kitten, with several specific breeds of dogs and cats represented through detailed animations.

Core gameplay involves providing food, grooming, and affection to the animal. The condition of the pet, encompassing its health, appearance, and mood, is directly tied to this care. Success is measured through participation in agility and beauty contests, where a well-cared-for animal will perform better.

Rewards from competition wins allow for the purchase of improved care items, creating a cycle of investment and return. The relationship and interaction between the player and the virtual pet form the central system governing all aspects of its development.
