Adventure of Tokyo Disney Sea is a Game Boy Advance action adventure title that recreates the setting of the Tokyo DisneySea theme park. Its world includes all seven of the park's themed ports, such as Mysterious Island and Arabian Coast, along with landmarks like the Aqua Sphere and characters from Disney properties.

Gameplay involves navigating scrolling environments where players can gather coins, purchase restorative items, and encounter random enemies. A central activity is collecting cards, which are used in versus battles that employ a rock-paper-scissors mechanic. While some cards are given freely, others must be won by defeating opponents, with certain cards being essential for overcoming more difficult foes.
