About X-play

X-play was one of those games you'd find in the late 2000s, tucked away on a Flash portal. It belonged to a wave of simple, direct action games that didn't need a complicated setup. You just clicked and started playing.

You control a crosshair, moving it with your mouse to target enemies that appear on screen. Your main job is to eliminate all the hostile figures before they can complete their objective, which usually involves escaping or causing some form of destruction. You click to fire, often managing a limited ammo supply or waiting for a brief cooldown between shots. The pacing is quick; targets emerge from different sides, forcing you to swing your aim and prioritize threats. It can get quite frantic as more enemies appear, testing your speed and accuracy. The game feels like a focused test of reaction and precision, where a single missed shot can change the outcome.
