About What-a-shot

What-a-shot was one of those simple, satisfying games you'd find during the Flash era. It appeared online when browser games were often quick diversions, built for a few minutes of play between other tasks. The game didn't have elaborate menus or a complex backstory; it loaded fast and got straight to the point.

You control the timing of a basketball free throw. The core action is a two-tap rhythm on the spacebar. The first press starts a power meter climbing; the second stops it to set your shot's strength. After that, a separate timing mechanic, often a moving cursor or target, determines the shot's accuracy. Your goal is just to make baskets, one after another, trying to build the longest streak you can. The pace is steady, almost meditative, but the difficulty comes from the precision required as you try to sync the power and the aim perfectly. It feels like a quiet test of your own consistency.
