About Whac-a-bad-mole
Whac-a-bad-mole was one of those simple, quick games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a few minutes of distraction, usually on a website packed with similar titles. The premise was straightforward, playing on a familiar concept with a twist of early 2000s pop culture.
You control a cursor, moving it to aim at targets that pop up from holes. Your goal is to click on the correct figures, specifically the female celebrities, to score points. Hitting the wrong ones, the male celebrities, deducts from your score. The game relies on fast reflexes and a bit of pattern recognition as the targets appear and disappear quickly. The pace starts manageable but can become frantic, demanding sharper attention to avoid penalties. It feels like a rapid test of focus, where a moment's hesitation or a misclick can undo your progress.
