About Vampire Slay

You control a character, often a hunter or villager, who stands in one spot. Your job is to defend the area from waves of monsters, primarily vampires that fly in from the edges of the screen. You use your mouse to aim a crosshair and click to fire projectiles, usually a wooden stake or a bolt from a crossbow. The main objective is to survive each wave by eliminating every creature before they reach you or the village behind you. The pacing starts slow but picks up as more enemies appear from different angles, forcing you to swing your aim around quickly. It can get quite frantic, and missing a fast-moving bat or a diving vampire usually costs you a life. The game feels tense and immediate, a test of your reflexes more than anything else.
