About Unicorns And Hand Grenade
Unicorns and Hand Grenades was one of those oddball Flash games you'd find in the late 2000s. It didn't have a big studio behind it, just a simple, strange idea that fit right into that era of browser gaming. You loaded it up, and there was no story, no explanation, just the task at hand.
You control a cursor, using your mouse to pick up grenades from a crate and throw them. Your targets are unicorns that trot and gallop across the screen. The challenge is in the timing and the arc of your throw; you have to lead the moving unicorns and judge the distance so the grenade lands near them when it explodes. The main objective is straightforward: eliminate all the unicorns in each stage. Mechanics include a limited supply of grenades per level and the need to account for the fuse time. The pacing is quick, and missing a throw feels costly. It creates a tense, almost absurd feeling of precision chaos.
