About Two-minute Drill
Two-minute Drill was one of those games you'd find on a Flash gaming site in the mid-2000s. It captured the simple, quick-play spirit of that era, a time when you could load a game in your browser and be playing in seconds. The game focused on a single, tense scenario from American football, stripping away everything but the final, frantic drive.
You control the quarterback. With your mouse, you click to select a receiver and then click again to throw the ball. Your goal is to move the ball 80 yards downfield and score a touchdown before the clock hits zero. You have to manage the clock, deciding when to spike the ball to stop it or when to risk a pass over the middle. The defense reacts, and an errant throw can easily be intercepted. The pacing is relentless, with each completed pass feeling like a small victory against the ticking clock. It feels like a race where every decision is immediate and carries weight.
