About Turkey Hunter

Turkey Hunter was one of those simple, single-screen games that felt typical of the Flash era. You'd find it on a gaming portal, load it in your browser, and be playing within seconds. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick distraction, a way to pass a few minutes with a straightforward concept.

You control a crosshair with your mouse, moving it across a static scene of a barnyard or a field. Your only job is to click on turkeys as they appear, making them vanish with a squawk and a puff of feathers. The objective is just to shoot as many as you can, often before a timer runs out or until you run out of ammunition. You have to manually reload by pressing a key, which adds a brief moment of vulnerability as more birds pop into view. The pacing is steady, with turkeys appearing at the edges of buildings or from behind fences, and the difficulty comes from their increasing numbers and the need to manage your shots. It feels like a test of simple reflexes and focus, a basic but satisfying cycle of aim, fire, and reload.
