About Toast Game

Toast Game was one of those simple, oddball titles you'd find during the Flash era. It came out in 2005, made by a developer known as Nitrome. It didn't try to be anything grand; it was just a short, quirky platformer you could finish in a few minutes between other tasks.

You control a slice of toast. Your goal is to navigate from left to right, avoiding the toasters that pop up to burn you and collecting pats of butter for points. Movement is basic, using the arrow keys to run and jump across platforms. The spacebar lets you use a butter knife, which can deflect certain hazards or interact with objects. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty comes from precise jumps and timing your movements around the toasters. It feels light and slightly absurd, a brief escape into a world where breakfast food has to run for its life.
