About Throw It

Throw It was one of those simple physics games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't have a complicated story or fancy graphics. You just showed up, clicked play, and tried to throw something. I remember playing it on sites that hosted dozens of these quick experiences, the kind you'd open in a browser tab between other tasks. The year it came out isn't something I recall clearly, and I don't think many people knew the developer's name. It was just there, part of the background noise of the internet at the time.

You control a character, often a little stick figure, and your only tool is the mouse. The core action is clicking and dragging to set an angle and power, then releasing to launch a ball. Your goal is to throw it as far as possible across a landscape. Along the way, you might hit bounce pads that give your ball extra height, or collect star-shaped bonuses that add to your score. The pacing is quick; each throw only takes a few seconds, but mastering the perfect launch takes many attempts. The difficulty comes from judging the arc and learning how the physics react to different surfaces. It feels like a test of simple, repetitive precision.
