The Simpsons

You control Bart Simpson, running and jumping through a side scrolling level. The main goal is to collect items scattered around while avoiding Homer, who patrols the area. You use the arrow keys to move and the spacebar to jump over obstacles or onto different platforms. The game moves at a steady pace, not too fast, but you have to time your movements to dodge Homer's path. It can get a bit tricky when you're trying to grab the last few items with him closing in. Playing it feels like a quick, straightforward challenge from that era of casual games.
