The Island

You control a soldier, moving left and right while aiming your weapon with the mouse. The WASD keys handle movement, letting you jump across platforms and duck behind cover. A key part of the play is managing your arsenal; you press Q and E to cycle through several different guns and tools, like a hunting knife or grenades, choosing the right one for the situation. The main objective is to fight through each story-oriented stage, eliminating enemies and advancing to the next area. The pace is generally fast, with a difficulty that can spike during crowded firefights. It feels like a concentrated burst of action, where your focus shifts quickly between movement, aiming, and swapping your weapon.
