About Super Slugger
Super Slugger was one of those simple Flash games you'd find in the late 2000s, a time when a browser could be a decent arcade. It didn't try to be a full baseball simulation. Instead, it focused on the immediate satisfaction of a clean hit.
You control the batter's timing with a click of the mouse. A pitch comes in, and you judge its speed and placement. Swing too early or too late, and you'll foul it off or miss entirely. The main goal is to hit home runs, sending the ball sailing past the outfield fence. Sometimes the game would switch pitchers on you, altering the rhythm and forcing you to adjust your timing. The pacing is quick, with little downtime between pitches. It can be surprisingly difficult to consistently make solid contact. The game feels like a pure test of hand-eye coordination, stripped down to its most essential parts.
